India Day is a community event where people from the Indian community come together to celebrate Indian culture, heritage, food, music, and fellowship. It also brings together many people from different backgrounds, including those who may not know Jesus Christ.
As a church, we see India Day as a special opportunity for Gospel outreach. Rather than simply attending the event, we prayerfully use the opportunity to meet people, build connections, pray with them, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
At the event, our church plans to:
- Meet and connect with people from the community.
- Pray with those who are open to prayer.
- Share the message of God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ.
- Distribute John 3:16 balloons as a simple Gospel message.
- Hand out Gospel tracts and small giveaways.
- Help with event setup and support the outreach activities.
Our goal is to show God's love, share the Gospel, and prayerfully reach people who may not otherwise have an opportunity to hear about Jesus. We want our presence at India Day to be a positive witness for Christ and an expression of God's love to our community.
